Psychic Medium Readings

Psychic Medium readings involve contacting your loved ones who have left their bodies and have crossed over to the other side. (died)

Polly communicates with them either in 3rd person or directly in 1st person. You can ask them questions, and they often have messages for you. In most cases they want to help you to live a happier life and will assist in forgiveness issues, and letting go of grief.

It is not necessary that you have a loved one that died to come for a reading.

Polly also works with your guides and higher self.

Polly asks you to set an intention for your session, and will begin the reading with an opening prayer that everything that happens is in love and for your highest and best good.

She then does an energetic clearing of your chakras and aura, and then asks for your loved one/guides to join the session.

She never knows what will happen from there, but it is always for the clients highest good and people always leave getting what they ask for.

She gets guidance as the session progresses as to what you need and will receive messages for you. The session goes well beyond a chat with your loved one and almost always brings positive shifts and changes into your life in accordance with your intention.

These sessions are extremely powerful, loving, and healing for both you and your loved one.


When we breathe in a full, deliberate and conscious way, our breath reveals to us a power to integrate, to feel and to connect with our own inner landscape.

The breath technique itself is very simple. Lying down, we breathe in and out through the mouth a full, circular, and connected breath without stopping or pausing.  Giving our full attention to our breath, we ‘follow’ our breath into our body. The intention to not to control our breath (as in Pranayama) but to allow our breath to take charge.

What starts to happen is that our body soon comes to life. It’s like as if it has been waiting for this opportunity and is speaking to us. Our only job is to listen, feel and be aware of what is happening. The extra oxygen along with the life-force or ‘chi’ energy of the breath causes changes to our body and we move beyond what we know with our rational mind, and we begin to experience our life, in our body.

Polly facilitates individual & group breathwork sessions.

She has trained in Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release, and is a Qualified Clarity Breathwork Practitioner.

Shamanic Energy Work

Polly uses Shamanic Energy Work in most sessions. This may sound  “out there”, and adventurous. It is!  But let your fears be eased. Polly creates a safe and sacred space. She only works with Source Energy which is unconditional Love and Divine Light. She always says a prayer that everything is for your highest and best good. (and it always is!)

She incorporates hands on energy work, sound, rattles, crystals, singing bowls, and shamanic clearing techniques.

She has been extensively trained and initiated by a Balinese Priest, and also receives direct transmission from her guides.

She has also been attuned to the 16th degree in Reiki Energy Work.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that involves the transfer of source energy through the hands. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.


The practice of yoga is ultimately about transformation. Through the breath we are able to observe our mind and heart.

Polly teaches a variety of yoga styles including: Ashtanga, Yin, and a gentle vinyasa flow progression.

The Ashtanga yoga system is designed to give you a self practice that you can do at home, and is focused on internal self study. Focus is on the breath, the gaze, and using internal locks in conjunction with movement. The goal of the yoga practice is for you to gain the basic understanding of the primary series and will be taught in a slow manageable pace. Each student is given their yoga routine according to their ability.  As one gains more strength, stamina, flexibility and concentration, additional postures are given to the student.

The Yin yoga system is a soothing, calming practice in which postures are held for long periods of time. Ultimately controlling the impulses of the mind, and bringing about physical ease and mental quiet. There are energy channels running through the body that can become blocked as a result of holding on to emotions, experiencing trauma, or through inactivity. Yin yoga dredges these energy channels of accumulated debris. The Ashtanga practice is an energizing and invigorating, Yang style system, which stimulates the flow of fluids through these channels.

Both Yin and Yang can bring about balance depending on which end of the life spectrum you are in at the moment.
Polly teaches both individual and group yoga classes.

She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and has studied with the highest accredited teachers in the Ashtanga Yoga System, including Sharath Jois, Peter Sanson, and Louise Ellis. She maintains a 6 day a week 2.5 hour Ashtanga practice, and does a YIN practice on a regular basis to balance the Yang energy. She completed her RYT 200 yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India with Yogi Kamal Singh, and her 50hr YIN teacher training in Bali. She stays current every year by taking intensives and studying with advanced teachers.


In our meditation sessions Polly guides you through a healing meditation that intuitively suits you on the day. We will explore different techniques including:

  • Anapana meditation : Beginning in a comfortable seated position with our back straight, eyes closed, bringing awareness to the breath as it enters and exits the nostrils. Using the breath as our anchor and allowing us to become aware of the nature of our thinking. As thoughts arise we notice them and then gently return our awareness and attention to the breath.
  • Guided Forgiveness meditation: We will begin this meditation session with several minutes of Anapana meditation to ground and centre us within. Moving our awareness and attention to our heart centre we allow thoughts of people or situations in the past to arise in our minds. We visualise the person or event in our minds eye that we want to clear and forgive. We silently to ourselves say the Ho Opono Pono Hawaiian forgiveness technique mantra and repeat it silently until we feel a shift within our heart and mind.
  • Chakra Clearing meditation: We will begin this meditation session with several minutes of Anapana meditation to ground and centre us within. We then embark on an inward journey beginning and ending with our heart centre. Bringing our awareness and attention to our energy centres (chakras) of the body, one by one, clearing, cleansing and releasing all that is no longer serving us.

Polly teaches both group and individual meditation classes.

She has sat multiple ten day Vipassana meditation courses with S.N.Goenka, and makes a yearly pilgrimage to India to study with her spiritual teachers.

Aura clearing, chakra balancing, raising your vibration and firmly grounding to mother earth lay the foundation of the session.

Connecting and communicating with a loved one that has died can be the focus, however it isn’t necessary, as the session goes well beyond. We are also able to connect with your guides, higher self and Source energy to facilitate your inner journey to manifest your intentions. Anything is possible in a session as long as you believe it is.

Releasing and clearing blocks, and all that is no longer serving you, including grief, guilt, heaviness, and unfinished business, the energy works alongside with your highest and best good creating your desired outcome.

Polly believes integration in the session is crucial, and can take many forms and directions depending on what comes through. She is guided to use different modalities throughout the session and tries to not have an agenda ahead of time, and allows the session to unfold exactly as it is meant to for your highest good.

Lying down and breathing into the new space that has been created, we dive in to the shamanic portion of the session. Circular connected breathing, charges your cells with new fresh oxygen and allows your brain to click into different realms of possibility.

Every session is different, and is in harmony with exactly what you are calling in and ready to receive.

India- adventures of an enlightening kind

I am back in India for the third time.

My intention is to deepen my spiritual practices and to find a teacher that can help illuminate the way.

It has proved to be another soul searching adventure. Not easy. Facing doubts. Wondering if there is a better place to be. Watching my mind which constantly creates negative chatter, doubts, and senseless disturbance.
It has been an adventure of a different kind.

My partner Oliver and I have been asking for guidance, and have been led to many different spiritual teachers.
We were told by a spiritual Indian friend upon arriving here in Rishikesh that:

* we may not find one teacher that will guide us, but many along the way.

* Be open and you will receive

* get clear with why you are here and what you are asking for
* pray/ask for what you need, and what is for your highest and best good – you will get it

* dont judge or try and figure it out – remain in equanimity

* leave it to the universe and ask “help me move ahead from where i am now in the highest & best way”

* surrender

* you will get something from everyone, sometimes the journey is just that & it works within yourself
We have been led to many spiritual masters here, and have been hearing the same things.

Not only from them but also in the books I am reading.

Osho’s Yoga the Science of the Soul & rereading Ekhart Tolle’s The Power of Now for the tenth time.

* stay open and receptive
* you are devine light

* what are you dependent on? what are your attachments?

* we spend alot of time looking outside of us for that which is within us

* become aware of reality- of where you are within you

* enlightenment is like planting seeds- for a period of time they are in the dark mystery and need trust, patience and surrender because at a certain point seeds will sprout

* suddenly you are in the light
* it just happens. you dont control it
* it can happen at any moment
* with calm and tranquility it happens in its own time

Coming from an achievement orientated culture following this philosophy can be frustrating, and I have “thrown my toys” more than once already since being here.

Wishing I could be comfortable with life as it was before.

But I cant.

I know I am here for something more. Something deep down that I know in my truest self is real.

But has gotten covered up.

I am here uncovering what I know.

What I heard yesterday from Sadvi Bhagawati Saraswati, the teacher here that I resonate with the most, was just this.

That I am not this body, my achievements, my story, my past, my mistakes. This is not me.

Sadviji said this is what causes the anguish that I feel when I know there is more.

She said “we are the light, there is nothing separating us from the light.” “Just because we are in a body doesn’t mean we are separated from the light.” “It is our mind that creates the separation and illusion, the pain is coming from the mind telling us we are separate but this is a lie.”

Some how this made sense to me.

She said the anguish is good. Because it keeps us searching. Deep down your true self knows this.

She said work on seeing yourself from the light. Instead of being in you looking at the light – change your perspective. Be in the light looking at your body.

Something has changed in me since hearing this.

and I am so grateful that Sadviji was able to answer my deepest question in a way that I am able to understand and work with.

Rishikesh is pure Shiva energy.

Shiva is the power that comes through and destroys our concept of who we are. Destroying everything that is in the way of awakening and being in the light.

I know that is why we are here.

Clearing out all that is within me holding me back from embodying the light.

In 2 days we are going on another ten day Vipassana meditation course. It will be my third one, but first in India.

Guruji Shri K. Patabi Jois says that yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory.

So these ten days will be intensive practice of the theory I just learned.

Clearing the mental chatter, being the watcher, seeing reality as it is, and taking it to the extreme.

Yoga, intentions, and how they changed my life

Two years ago I went to India for the first time.

Specifically to study yoga at the source of Ashtanga yoga, Mysore.

I went to Mysore feeling lost, and asking for my life purpose.

The answer I got was:

You know you are on purpose if what you are doing makes you thrive.

So I asked myself, what makes me thrive?

  • Different cultures
  • Being outside/ nature
  • Spiritual connection
  • Adventure
  • New experiences
  • Being of service

Suddenly I felt like I got the point. I realized that these are the things that make me happy, and settling down and doing what I saw everyone else doing around me wasn’t going to do it for me.

My three months in Mysore left me a changed person, and I knew I had to return to India.

Nine months later I was back.

The best advice I got about traveling in India is that India is like a magnifying glass. What ever you put out comes back to you MAGNIFIED.

This was so true.

I quickly put aside any fear about my trip and began setting my positive intentions:

  • I have a smooth and easy time in India
  • I meet amazing, friendly, nice people
  • I am always safe and protected
  • I deepen my spiritual connection
  • I have amazing adventures

I began reciting my intentions over and over in my head.

Guess what?

It worked!

The six months I spent this second time in India were truly magical. Every intention I set happened to the maximum degree.

  • I met amazing people.
  • I always felt safe.
  • I got amazing places to stay.
  • I accomplished all of my adventures. (Cycling from Manali to Leh, Cycling from Leh to Srinagar, kayaking the Zanskar Gorge and Upper Indus, Trekking the Marka Valley)
  • I deepened my spiritual practices
  • I made an amazing short film
  • I became a certified Ashtanga yoga teacher
  • I met a healer and did alot of personal growth work
  • I met my life partner
  • Doors opened.

Every single intention I set happened.

(Truth be told I didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to go back.)

My whole life changed while I was there, and it felt like true transformation.

I deepened my commitment to yoga, healing, and meditation. And it is now the path I am pursuing.

I got the feeling while I was in India to come to Bali, and that Bali would be my new base.

I am now in Bali.

Never having been here before I am trusting the guidance and doors are opening.

My new intention is:

  • Thank you for the magnificent outcome in Bali

My heart feels like it is still in India, and sometimes I wonder why I am here and not there.

I am getting clear that my purpose in life is this journey of self discovery and where it brings me.

Bali is bringing:

  • healing
  • amazing connections with like minded people
  • fantastic yoga
  • lovely local people
  • calm, peace, and healthy living
  • continued personal growth

Everyday I am feeling grateful that I took the first step two years ago to go to India, and continue this journey of self discovery.

What led me there was yoga, faith, and following my heart.

A friend once told me that taking a leap of faith is like being on the flying trapeze. You can’t grab the next trapeze until you let go of the one you are on.

So I have let go of the old trapeze. I am asking for guidance everyday, and trusting that I am exactly where I am meant to be right now, and that the more I open, doors will open, and it is proving to be true.

India take 2

You know you are on purpose if what you are doing makes you thrive.

These words of wisdom I received as I was leaving Mysore, India on my last trip back in September 2012.

And it made me think….. What makes me thrive?

Different cultures, being outside, spiritual connection, adventure, new experiences, sports, colours…..

I am on my way back to India.


This time to the North.

My intentions this trip are to have an adventure of a lifetime, deepen my spiritual practices (yoga and meditation), and be outside.

I am meeting a friend of a friend in Delhi airport on 4 June. We are promptly catching a bus to Dharamshala for a week of yoga, and then busing to Manali where we are meeting up with another friend of a friend who conveniently is Indian, and has been an absolute organizing gem. We are going to self support bike ride (I know that is kayaking terminology but I can’t help it being a never-ever bike tourer) from Manali to Leh, which will take us about 2 weeks up 5 massive mountain passes at altitude. Once we arrive in Leh, we are going to bike ride to Lungser Kangri park our bikes at the trail head and strap on some hiking boots, crampons, and ice axes for a mountain climb!

Hopefully kayaking will also be a part of the equation,  to really accomplish all sporting elements.

After this adventuring I am planning on parking myself in an Ashram for a month…but am open to whatever comes next.

I can tell already that this will be a trip of a life time and am so stoked….stay tuned…and
